R2TR 3, so far, feels a lot more dynamic. ![]() ![]() When I played DeI it pretty much always boiled down to battle line push-fest until I could eventually sneak some skirmishers around the side and launch rock, arrows or javelins into their backs, or the classic hammer and anvil attack. The battle system though is a whole new beast. The campaign side is definitely more complex, but still not so complex as DeI, feels more vanilla. I checked it out awhile back, but wanted to see the new changes now that I'm between campaigns. Right now I'm really getting into R2TR 3. With four kids though I cut back on mods and decided DeI just took too long to play and went back to vanilla for awhile. ![]() I played through a couple of 40 turn or so DeI campaigns a couple of years ago because I wanted something like Roma Surrectum, which I played for years, RTR and EB-I some prior to that. ![]()
